Bru is to many in this game a friend, a brother, and to troubled youth like myself, a father figure. He's always been there with words of calm, is quick to break the ice with humor and is otherwise a fluffing standup guy.

That said we received some troubling news that he is currently in the hospital. He'd been having some health problems in the previous months with his stomach and had a couple of heart attacks the last couple of days. He's stable now but is set for possible surgery in the morning. We will hopefully be receiving an address to send cards to shortly. Please pray for him to get well asap. He's one of the best guys in this game.

That said. #Elderswar was shocked by this news and sticken with a somber attitude. We humbly ask for 24 hours retroactive to 2:00 GT for prayers and reflection. At this time, its only right we pay all the respect in the world that this man has given us over the years. We ask tie, rage and sol to join us in this period of silence for our mutual friend.

Hopefully we receive good news tomorrow and go back to killing at 10pm EST. Anyone who wants updates can pm me. I'll begin idling in #earthempires in an hour or so. Until then, keep him in your thoughts. Now is not a time for killing, but for loving each other and believing in the community we've built together. I know I don't say it enough, but I wouldn't be the man I am today without guys like bru, and many of you. Thank you.

Bru is a geologist like me (and Detmer and McKinnly) and we always shared kind of an out of game kinship. I have a letter from Dale in my china cabinet along with a bag of native copper and agates he sent me from Michigan. We are also both old hard rock underground miners and old stoners and he is my curmudgeon spirit animal.

Hey bru I'm doin good, back to work helping getting the quarry up an running. Getting ready for smelt and shrooms, not to mention being able to see the rocks again. They actually started building another limestone operation at the end of my road so going through those piles is awesome. Hope you get better soon, I hear this summer is supposed to be beautiful up here!

Yeah ish via Facebook. He slept well last night. Still sounds kinda gloomy. Still very critical but he's a fighter. "he always had/has a positive attitude and dr said yesterday that is so very x100 critical but with that said wow he is doing remarkable for how bad he is."

Unfortunately nothing new to report archy. Still critical and still fighting hard. He's heavily sedated because he don't like waking up hooked up to a bunch of tubes and wires. But fluff. The man is plainly a fighter. Each day we keep hearing that is a blessing. Unfortunately I have no improvement to report but he's not any worse. Heavyweight champ fighting the heaviest of battles. He's not on life support or anything so he's living. He's tough. This ain't his last battle. I feel it in my heart.

He's been doing better the last few days. Much better. Talking about pizza and beer and whatnot. Surgery today...

He's been upgraded, probably leaving ICU tomorrow. Geologists are hard headed

They did put the bypass surgery off for 2 weeks, so he still has a lot ahead of him.

He's in physical therapy, up moving around and getting strong enough for surgery. All in all much improved over this time last week.
