I noticed a thread a few weeks ago about a Clash of Clans Clan for us here in the EE community. Well a few of us in Paradigm have started a clan that we have called Earth Paradigm. The name doesn't have to be forever but we wanted to start our own little group.
We have recruited the likes of a few such as : AusPiggy, The Arabian Nightmare, Sir Detmer, Astroblood, Thomas, Leto, DDog and CMO.

We have decided to open the invitation to anyone interested in the Earth Community!

We do have a discussion/strategy thread in our boxcar forums. We will accept all applications that state for Clash of Clans and we will hook you up with the right perms. We would like active participation in these threads and in the clan itself.

Oh and by the way, Stupidity is grounds for immediate dismissal.

What is clash of clans exactly?

CoC is andriod or iOS game where you build a town. Buildings are built over time. You have two resources initially (gold and elixir) and then later on get dark elixir. You build different troop types and can go grab for more resources off other players. Also has a clan war function where over a two day period you war another randomly selected clan (seems pretty balanced though).

As much as I'd love to spend time with PDM in this endeavor, I just don't like blue stacks as of the last time I used it.

Sorry, but I'll pass for now. If something comes along that actually works better I'll be glad to come aboard :)

Darrian and myself are running a clan named Earth Empires, I'm trying to talk him into merging. What site are you using?

We're using the PDM site (with CoC perms only) in Boxcar at the moment, but piggy is building us a new site (to host both EE and CoC) that will be ready within a couple of months.

How many do you have in your clan papa?

We have 11, but only about five that are good active ones.

We have new blood that does not play Earth empires but is very active, merge up Papa, bring your boys to the party :P

In our first 30 vs 30, we smashed Ice Ice Baby 85 stars to 51. 90 was the max!

Very easily are most dominant war performance to date.

Hmmm how do I sign up

Aight I'm in game and I guess doing the starting tutorial. I thought I heard someone say somewhere that I shouldn't spend some type of,resource at first but rather wait and spend it elsewhere.

Can I get a quick beginner guide so I,don't do anything stupid right off the bat? What should I be doing

DON'T SPEND YOUR GEMS! Save them for builders huts. Beyond that, the early stages are easy. Just build whatever fits your play times. If you can check back in 2 hours, start a 2 hour project.

The other more long term advice is don't upgrade your town hall too early. Make sure you've got most of your other buildings(and WALLS) upgraded before you move to the next level.

if someone destroys your buildings, must you completely rebuild them? if so, that'll suck when someone AB's your builders huts because they can only be made with gems

i assume there's strategy with building placement and stuff?

also, do i have to connect it to my facebook in order to join a clan once i repair the clan castle thingie? :(

Buildings are automatically rebuilt and you get a shield based on the percentage destroyed. Also, you lose a small percentage of resources.

Placement is important. When you place buildings, there's a one space buffer where enemies can't spawn units. You don't want holes in the middle of your base. Also, the debris does NOT block enemy troops. Same goes for the outer border of the map.

You don't need to connect to fb. Send a message to auspiggy or detmer and they will hook you up.

shield = period of time you can't be hit again, right?

i probably should've noticed by now, but cannons/towers can shoot over walls, right?

also, if i go to upgrade a wall, does it only upgrade that square of the wall, or all the walls on the map?

last question - is there a way to tell your people what to attack? or is that determined by unit type and/or where they are deployed?

Wall breakers will attack nearest wall. Giants will attack most easily accessible defense. Balloons will attack nearest defense. Goblins will attack most easily accessible resource. Others will attack most easily accessible building. You can see which building your unit will attack based on where you deploy it. A target will show up on the building being targeting. You can use this to drop 1 unit at a time until you find the right spot to drop to hit whatever you want to hit, then drop the rest.

Hog riders will attach nearest defense. I think thats about it in terms of preferences... New Dark Elixer 6 unit I think attacks nearest air defense.

Defenses can shoot over your walls, and ranged units can as well. You have to upgrade walls one piece at a time. It's a pain in the butt, and a major money sink in terms of gold, but it's important to do. Maxxing your walls before you boost up to the next TH level is a must.

Also, don't worry about trophies when attacking other players. Just focus on resources and the trophies will come naturally.

is there a clan page?

Tella - new upgrade will allow you to upgrade an entire row at a time. Also, walls above level 6 will cost elixer to upgrade. Not certain yet if there will also be a discount, but elixer is in such abundance about TH7 that it's going to really help with wall upgrades.

Some new player tips:

1. DO NOT SPEND YOUR GEMS on anything until you have 4 builders huts. On both of my accounts I was able to easily save 500 gems for 3rd builder hut before TH 5, and save another 1000 gems for the 4th either shortly after, or during my upgrade to TH 7. During the tutorial, just wait the minute for things to build rather than using gems. Once you've gotten your 4th builder, save your gems for Dark Elixer upgrades. There's nothing worse than stringing together a bunch of raids, having 14,870 Dark Elixer, and then having to go and leave your account vulnerable. Have some gems on hand to get to that 15,000 upgrade.

2. DO NOT RUSH YOUR TH. It can be tempting to unlock new buildings by upgrading your TH, and this is fine until about TH 5 or 6... but after that, do not rush your TH. There is a loot penalty when attacking bases with a TH level lower than yours. One level below, you only get 90% of possible loot. Two levels below I believe it's 50%. Three levels below goes down to about a quarter. It'll be very difficult for you to upgrade your defenses and units if you rush your TH as finding resources will get harder and harder.

3. Army camps should NOT be ignored. You might think that those 5 extra units won't make a difference, but you're wrong. It's not just 5. It's 5, per upgrade, per camp. Get them upgraded.

4. YouTube is your friend. I love using YouTube for base designs and other strategies. There are a few very helpful channels: PlayClashofClans, Wiggy, Daddy, Clash with Cam, etc. You can learn a lot about what to look for when attacking, how to identify whether resources are in storage or in collectors etc.

5. Always have your lab working on something. Upgrades are very important, and you can't fall behind. Generally, archers are the consensus first unit to upgrade. They're the default donation unit in clans, and they're usually one of the main units used in raiding.
