with the first 2 games being so close, was fun to see such a blowout :)

but losing Horton for the rest of the series is rough :(

Bruins have something to rally around, and Sean Thornton finally got some ice time. I think that might out-weight the loss.

Give Shawn Thornton the 'C'!!!!

Imo, he deserves it more than Chara. Chara is 6'9", 270 lbs, and doesn't play nearly as physical as Thornton. I think Thornton is turning into the heart and soul of the Bruins.

TTT

thornton was put on the ice in game 3, and the Bruins haven't lost since. COINCIDENCE?

B's in 6.. I don't give a fluff how skilled the Canucks are, he Bruins WANT IT MORE, and ultimately the team that WANTS IT will TAKE IT!!!!

Yea Boston hasn't won in Vancouver. This series seems an awful lot like Pittsburgh Pirates playing the Yankees for the world series...except where the wins came of course.

Boston powerplay.... Watching it made me want to slice my wrists. They play with way more energy when they're on even strength or killing a penalty.

It's amazing how Canucks are leading this series and that it's even going to seven games.

Bruins 0 Canucks 1
Bruins 2 Canucks 3
Bruins 8 Canucks 1
Bruins 4 Canucks 0
Bruins 0 Canucks 1
Bruins 4 Canucks 0 (only halfway through 1st)

Total Goals...
Boston- 18
Vancouver- 6

If the Canucks do win, I can't think of any series I've ever seen where one side has so been so blatantly out played and out scored and still won.

Out played? Maybe only in Boston.

in Vancouver, it's been all Vancouver except parts of game 2.

games 1 and 2 could have gone either way, much the same with game 5.

Scoring this series is now 19-8 in favor of Boston. It's just pretty amazing considering they were shut-out twice.

I feel bad for Savard sitting in the post box, he's been a player I've cheered for for years and I don't think he even gets to have his name on the cup since he won't have laced up at all for the post season :(

This series has been all Vancouver! Except the 3 games in Boston.. and most of game 2, and half of game 1.

Otherwise though, ALL Vancouver!

I wonder if Luongo will cry about Tim Thomas not giving him enough praise again? I wonder if he'll criticize Tim Thomas's style and mock the goals he allows, while giving up 17 goals in 3 straight road games ever again?

He completely folds under pressure, and I expect no different tomorrow night!

Vancouver is a good team, but as many people predicted, the Sedin sisters can't handle Chara/Seidenberg.. and Luongo folds in the playoffs.

The Cup is coming back to Boston!

If Vancouver has any sense, they'll hold Luongo in a small back room and tell him to shut the fluff up. Personally, I expect him to bounce back (if they start him). If the Bruins decide to actually hit someone in Vancouver, then I'd give them a good chance. If they try to skate with the Canucks, the Cup will be in Canada for the year.

Conn Smythe to Thomas (short of him taking the puck and throwing it in his own net to make Boston lose next game, he deserves it)

Winner I'm tottering the fence...

If either of the Sedin twins score, I'll say Canucks win.
If they don't, I'll say Boston wins.

It all depends on whether Luongo decides to suck or not.

Canucks are saving all the goals for the last game.

Does Thomas still win Conn Smythe if he lets in 5? 6? 10?

What's funny is that Canucks can score 10 and still be trailing in scoring.

One of the weirdest finals.

But still no match to 94, unless this goes to like 12 OT.

predictions:

Luongo will let up 2 in the first and get pulled. Then the camera will pan to him sitting on the bench crying every once in a while as he further greases his hair.

The Sedin sisters will not be a factor, unless by 'factor' you mean 'getting punched in the face repeatedly by a much smaller kid and refusing to stick up for yourself'

Burrows will get a game misconduct for seasoning zdeno chara's forearm with salt and pepper, and excessive salivating.

Kesler is the only respectable player on that team of floppers and complainers, i won't make fun of him.

If there is a Hockey God, the cup won't go to the front-running, whining, flopping, privelidged, fair weather Canucks.

The Cup belongs to a team that works for it, and wants it.. not the team who wants it handed to them.

Chara is a bit of a panzy. He plays less physical than Thorton. Despite having at least 9 inches of height and probably 70 lbs. of weight on his size. Though, he did actually show some hustle last game. Watching that was win.

yea, i wonder how much of that is ebcause of the 'C' on his jersey.. he doesn't get a lot of penalty minutes.. he is a difference maker on the ice so i won't complain about the fact that he doesn't fight often

The last time the Bruins had a captain that was a physical presence was Ray Bourque. The last one to actually intimidate people was Terry O'Reily.

Arggghhh... I had a condo board meeting and missed the whole game. WTF happened? I was getting live updates on my iPhone, and all I saw was Boston Boston Boston Boston. Did Vancouver just not show up, so they strapped blindfolds on the Bruins and let them shoot at the opposite end of the rink until they had an acceptable score? :p
I cannot see your signature - so if it's witty, put it in a post instead! :p

ya, luongo can only play in a high-pressure game when he has Canada's best players in front of him.

sucks but meh... Thomas was just so unbelievably amazing all series that the canucks lost their confidence and it was downhill from game 3 :p

it still sucks to not see a cup in Canada again... but on the other hand... Go Leafs Go!

Most NHL players hail from Canada in the first place, so no matter what, the cup is always in Canadian hands.. well, sorta.

If you keep telling yourself this, you eventually believe it! :)
