ya, we call American beer "canoe beer" because it's near water.

that's the joke... most canadian beer is 5%+, most american beer is under 4% :p

don't believe me? come up here and find out :)
ps. don't drink Labatt Blue or Molson Canadian or anything like that. That stuff is piss compared to the good stuff you can get up here -- Moosehead, Steamwhistle, Kilkenny, Keiths, Sleeman.... so many good beers. Thinking about it just makes me want to get on my boat, crank some music, drink some beer and fish all day long :(

The American beer industry has gone back to micro-brews. Yes, you can still get cheap domestic, but it's like eating spam rather than pulled pork. The west coast of the U.S has the best beers in the world bar none. And the fact is that even gas stations are selling a good selection of micros. You don't have to go to some obscure brewery anymore.

I like Canada, but its really just a Giant colder version of Canberra with more French people.
