No, Mehul wouldn't have even showed up.

Well, he would show up and give you great advice at first, but over time it would start to get worse and worse as more people started following it.

Eventually he'd allow someone else to start giving advice for him, but their advice would be even worse than his, because they're only giving it to talk you into buying their full blown opinion, and even more people would stop following it.

Then those other folks would just stop giving advice because no one was listening anyways, and someone else would build a new advice machine. It would be very similar to the old advice machine, but it would give the best advice ever

Mehul is like Microsoft. He may be horrible in a lotta ways, but we wouldn't be here without him.

That's not fair to Mehul.

I liked his "no updates to a working system, despite its flaws" approach a lot more than Microsoft's "many updates to an unstable system, which create new flaws without correcting any of the old" approach.

Personally, I think Microsoft would be fine if Bill went back to coding everything himself.

That's my point. I want him back coding. If he was still coding, I could hardly want him back -- and if he hadn't stopped coding some time ago, the poor quality of the coding could not be attributed to his absence -- therefore it would not make sense to wish him back.

My statement that I want him back coding only makes sense in a context where he stopped coding some time ago.
