Any chance you can create a server where you can't restart or create a country after a certain date?

Server plays until all but one country remains or there is a stalemate.

Turns are given like express but increase as countries in-game decrease.

Would be a fluff to mod, tho. Maybe instead of deleting people, ban them for like half a year(on that server)?

Marshal, the one unvarying truth of this game, year after year is there will always be cheaters. Some will cheat to try to get a faux land record, some for the pure joy of cheating and others for a multitude of reasons. People will tell their clan mates hey let us not hit each other and in their delusional alternate state can have their "wins".

Nothing can be done to stop these miscreants but that should not stop us from setting up the server anyway.

Yes, this is what a tourney should really be like.

I played on a e2025 clone that had a server like that but the country who got the kill shot gained all remaining assets of the killed country.

I will say from experience it is a fun type of game to play.

To prevent sniping it might have to be based on percentages of hits.

but i am concerned about the variability in set length to get to a solo survivor

increasing the turn rate might also be a bit skewy, but like in a poker tournament where the blind bets are raised at an accelerating rate, there needs to be a mechanism to drive the set to conclusion ...

unless you just accept a traditional end of set, and let glory be found in surviving to the end

i think the idea of splitting up a killed country's resources to the killers (100% to the kill shot, or propotionately by some formula to all participants in the kill) will be enough to drive survivorship to single digits if starts of any kind are banned in the last 48 hrs

The varied set length can easily be limited by killing of the lowest NW country every day end after a certain amount of days(2?), also preventing countries from hiding under humanitarians range.

Possibly instead of or in addition to the NW one could use some hit/kill stat points as a criteria. Like you get points for kills and successful hits and perhaps damage done, and the country lowest in that gets autokilled by the game at the end of each day.

An alternative would be that if your NW is the lowest your population don't grow back, so you can't turn-wall and you can't produce unless you can get past the 2nd lowest by buying on the market for instance. That would create an obvious target and the game would end at one point sooner or later.

Global 2025, very small community, barely a game really but the concept was fun and it was enjoyable to play, even with a max of 10 people lol
