My 28.6m w/ a thin Tyr Techer is better than I expected. With a better tech market, I probably could have done 31-32m.

Generally, no. When I go C/I, I save turns and start delayed so tech is cheaper. I go straight ICs, grabbing from ~3.5kA onwards. No tech phase.

Looks like it's different now with bots, I remember few years back before the bot era, most of the top dogs did a tech phase...

I buy tech also. Sometimes indy techs are hard to come by though. Like CX said...best to play slow and get techs early before playing too many turns without them.

KoH -- Yes, before bots and when allies were a part of the game, a tech phase was the general strat. I remember tech rings w Viva, ingle, and others ... and people leeching whwn they could.

Thanks. I am # 6 Yamadut at $26 Mil. Playing my very first full set. Just reading publicly available information on wiki, without joining any clans or any pointers from anyone.
What wasnt available ( some equations) figured out myself thru trial & error and pen & paper.
Played couple of sets before. Last set didnt have time so only played a few hundred turns. Before that, my very first set was killed for being n00b.

Yeah, changing country names doesn't do anything for me. That's the problem with having a signature style.
