Yes or no. Same players will win with bots turned off, but this turning them on and off at random just ruins it.

If everyone goes into the set knowing that there won't be bots you got a level playing field. If there are bots and they are on all the time and everyone knows it you got a level playing field.

I also think that without bots you are going to see less players who keep playing. We have seen how dead the markets are without bots, its not so much that they are different price ranges but that the liquidity just disappears, you simply cant unload a techers tech or an indy's military in order to get another set of grabs in 2 hours later. if that could be achieved without them also fluffing up the tech market that would be awesome, that would be done by having techer bots who actually tech and sell tech in volumes so the bot community are not just a black hole swallowing any tech they see.
