About two months ago I realized that there was market cheating going on on the Express server every set. I suspected CX LaE of being a major play in the cheating game. I tried playing demo to see if I could play the market better. I played a few excellent rep casher games what the max score was for that government type.

I hijacked the $21 oil with SO'sand determined that the mods can't track who put what on the market except with qzjul's direct assistance.

Then I learned mIRC and downloaded a cracked version that stays on all the time and logs the market activity for the whole set and date stamps it.

Now I have flushed out the main player who is putting the stuff on the market, mrford.

Now we have CX and Mrford doing a wonderful dance and spinning the whole thing into "gambling", and tellarion really doesn't care so we will just let it continue.

I enjoy playing games and I like to understand them and play them well. No one else was prepared to research the market cheating problem and I took it upon myself and put considerable effort into it. Thats ok, if it continues, I have done the right thing in pointing out the exact details of the problem and who is doing it.

the no ally thing and 8hours dr makes the game interesting again. dont take the "gambling" market manipulation too much. just enjoy the new changes.

"Reports are deleted when the round resets. Thus, reporting it 5 minutes before the end of the set doesn't really help. Even if I were online at that time, I wouldn't be able to catch it then. My primary question then is this: what is the proper course of action to take when we identify cheating within the final 5 minutes of a reset?


A rhetorical question I would like to add on would be this: Who in their right mind thought they wouldn't need reports after rounds have ended?

Viceroy, as I said in the other thread, send me a forum pm with whatever details and suspicions you have. Giving me more information is better than giving me less. In the time it took getafix to re-type and add his personal spin to what was already discussed in detail on another thread, other players have actually listened and provided the information I need, such as the actual market transactions.

Getafix is too busy fluffing to notice, however.

I think slagpit designed the tools years ago and the way they were coded makes them very difficult to expand and modify. Kinda sucks, but not much I can do about it for the moment.

You won't see me fluffing and spending time identifying the market cheaters on market.express any more tellarion, I know longer give a fluff.

Btw, who was the person that 'flushed' mrford out and researched what happened? Who was the one that bugged qz doggedly until he helped pore through the data? Yeah that was me...

But if you want to steal the credit while saying I don't care, go right ahead. I wouldn't want to deflate your ego :/

mrford did buy a lot of tech at the end, but none of it benefitted CX. it was spread out amongst 7+ players. some did make a bit of money from it, but none that finished in the top 10.

i have maintained all along that he wasn't cheating- he explained to me how it is that he runs his countries, and in detail has explained to me how better to run my own. he doesn't cheat, he's just really good. and, i suppose, a little lucky.

but if he finishes at eleven million nw, plus 3-4m from tech sales, that is still only fifteen million nw. he consistently well surpasses this mark, and he does it through painstaking turn efficiency.

if you want to argue 26mil nw to 30mil nw, then so be it, but cheating it is not.

i consider him both a friend and a great express player. (ps, friend, let me know when to catch your buyouts?? :P)

It used to say servers for some mods under their names, instead of just generic "Game Moderators," maybe that got lost in the forums upgrade?
