how is it misleading? right next to each bonus it tells you how many you can afford to buy. common sense tells you to type in the number you want to purchase.

but it doesnt say you can afford to buy 8 building cost so why would you type in 8. its not like you can type in 6 and only get 6 points worth of building cost.

Because common sense says to buy 1 unit, and see how much you get. If it works as you expected (which isn't how it works), then buy 5 more to get a total of 6.

maybe i have better common sense then? there is nothing on the bonus screen that would indicate it works like that. it tells you the effect, the cost of said effect and the max that you can buy (1, 2, 3). if you had 16 points and it said cost 8 and max of 2, why would it make sense that you could spend 6 points on it?
