I haven't checked the country, but he could have also just got to that NW and dropped his land down, just because.

Instead of being in vacation, He could be in protection.

Even in protection you can still buy items off the public market.

A demo with max mil tech no bases can make bank off of the market early in the set, and make money off of cheap military prices reselling to public market.

You can't put fluff on the market if you're in protection. Even if you could, you'd end up coming out after 15 turns as a restart.

One thing i dont think has been mentioned is his networth has moved- Considerably. He topped 50mil at one point and he has tons of other countries not under protection-

I also took a gander at some market trends and max buyout/sell prices since he jumped and then broke down his networth into military units, oil, food & land based on a full division of his maximum networth and then went with the nearest value to his total networth I believe he is one of the ones controlling a major fraction of the bushels market right now -
especially since his net gains/losses in military units far exceed the maximum amounts of said military units bought and sold on the market during the hours of his drops/gains- but match the amount of food moved during said hours.

Oil prices/volume also correlate with his jumps.

Im not saying this is the case- just that there is a strong likelyhood- especially since it would explain the early destock

No, the country has never left protection. It is truly at 1 acre with over 50mil NW. I know I will never win with it, but it's been fun as **** playing it. My only regret is that I didn't have another 3 or so billion before I had to jump. I saw it done years ago when I used to play.

Haven't sold cheap military except for once early in the set, just to test it out. May have to try that though if I want the country to keep growing. I was just playing around and didn't even really intend (or ever think) that it could get this big so I don't even really have a strat or a plan laid out. Just want to see how big I can grow it now.

vacation mode doesn't save anything, week or 2 left on set and all countries in vacmode out of protection (restart or normal) are kicked out of vacation and can be attacked.

no that would ruin the private market sell price that 1 acre is probably nothing. The 1 acre means he only needs around 45 military tech to get maximum sale price on private.

Incorrect, 45 military tech points barely gets you past 99%. Even as a demo you need 1600 military tech to sell bushels for $35 on 1 acre. You'd need 5234 tech points to sell bushels for $36 on 1 acre.

You can get 1600 tech in around 70 turns though, so it's easily doable inside protection. I highly doubt it's possible to sell for $36 inside protection however.

Exactly correct. It can be anything but MB. As I said, it is ULA currently. If I were to do this again, I would make it something just because I have to drop the "free" 20 acres of land every day and I KNOW that one of these times I'm going to accidentally drop 21 acres instead of only 20 :0 :0 :0

Nope, not macdaddy. Seen a few of his threads. I'm not an idiot, really lol. I used to play back in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Just came across Earth Empires a month or two ago. I really like the Express and FFA concepts, wish they'd had been around back in the day.

Really? I don't remember it. I was mostly a tournament player back when you had to play lower levels to get to B or C and then get to A and played an occasional standard. Played in the alliance server a reset or two with Omega back when they had the text-based rpg dungeon.

Ffa did disappear for a handful of sets back in like 1995 or something just before the move swirve if I'm not mistaken but I could totally be wrong. Thats happened once before.

I think "Alliance/1A" Server was created in mid 1999 (it was a split/rename from the previous "Standard" server)

And I do remember that FFA was created the round immediately following the creation of "Alliance" from the previous "Standard" since I was part of it. So it is very likely that FFA was in its first or first few rounds of FFA when the move to Swirve happened in the summer of 2000. Mehul shut FFA down in 2004.

I say all of this with an asterisk since this was many many beers ago.
