Lords of Chaos (LoC) is on Discord, it works great for communication. However, I have not been successful in porting the news from IRC into Discord, because Discord has a message rate limit that will not allow a live flood of news/messages. However, you may not have a live news feed, but bot development, communication, and notifications are amazing and IMO a much better improvement over IRC.

I mostly code in C#, there are NuGet Packages that you can get that can assist with bot development. I disagree bot development is very easy with Discord, I personally used the Discord.net(https://github.com/RogueException/Discord.Net) package.

I've found coding fairly easy as well. There are limits, but it's much easier to get help (if you aren't a developer and need it) because people actually use it, as opposed to IRC.

Let earth and irc die. Kill them, if you have to.
