Anyone here into HAM radio?
I am looking to get licenced and buy all the fluff. I think that given how spread out we are, it would be valuable and fun for everyone to get into it.

dunno. it might interfere with my current hobby of trying to get a Royal Flush in xbox Texas Hold'em while i'm drinking so i can avoid being a total ass on the internets.

It is, but it is fairly expensive of a hobby if you really go all out for decent powerful radios.

I fooled around with it when I was in the Navy at the MARS station in Dam Neck, VA. It's amazing the contacts you can speak to. Kinda like a pre-historic IRC.
