Start of WWIII? Apparently, Russia's involvement and brutal actions in Syria is a direct result. Are we about to witness EE in real life?

I wonder if Putin or Russia's Head of State Equivalent will take the blame. My guess is they will blame Turkey as a complete country.

Russia has consistently flown into Turkish Air Space. it was only a matter of time before they were retaliated against.

Surprisingly enough, they're pretty calm and call the actions a terror act. I just wonder if that supposed meeting between the foreign ministers of Syria, Iran, Turkey and Russia will still meet tomorrow in Moscow alongside their respective defense ministers. A whole lot to look out for. I personally doubt the Turks will head to moscow fearing some sort of retaliation.

Its time for Turkey to roll over on their back and let NATO look after their external security whilst this gets sorted out.
There is no room available for any side involved to make the slightest mistake.

A shootdown of a Russian / Turkish aircraft or a sunk Russian / Turkish warship would be plenty to start something, sadly, unstoppable.

As good as the clarification that the situation is being treated as "terrorist", Maria Zakharova is only the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, not the Foreign Minister, Prime Minister nor President - who may yet see things somewhat differently.

Turkey wants Assad out because he is not a strick Muslim
Turkey considers the Kurds terrorist.
Assad likes the Kurd's as a threat to Turkey.

Net result: Assad stays in power, suppresses the Kurds and in return Turkey backs off.

The Kurds will get screwed in the end.

Looks like TURKEY may get hammered by RUSSIA now for shooting down one of their jets and killing their ambassador in cold blood. United States backs the Kurds and wants ASSAD gone.

So that looks like UNITED STATES and KURDS are together.

Russia and Assad are together.

Turkey does not really like any of us at all and everyone is unhappy with the crap they have done lately.

I would not be surprised if PUTIN puts the RUSSIANS on alert to mess up any TURKISH owned stuff that strays into their territory including in SYRIA.

Nope. Turkey will sell out as long as they get their chess piece of Assad reining in his Kurd weapon.

And as usual, the US will abandon it's best ally.
