Since it is apparent that 1045 was 138's restart, and regardless if you disclose their name or not, can you at least give your word that you will discourage/punish such actions from one of your members, and that you will monitor said member if they ever decide to come back to your ranks? I'm sure the community would appreciate knowing that you do/will work to right any wrongs that pop up with your membership, just as I'm sure other alliance heads would want to do.

That makes me confused, Sov...what Tella was saying (and I agree) is that wouldn't you call someone in to handle the person who jumped in on the other side? You're probably all even between MD and SoF (I haven't checked stats), so if someone else is coming in, you'd want to make sure they don't interfere with your 1v1 against MD, so you'd have RAGE hitting only SoL targets to keep them off your back.

Personally, I'd want to make sure I did as much damage to my main adversary and beat *them* per my reasons for FSing just them in the first place. Let my allies deal with anyone else jumping in, so long as *I* did the damages to the people I'm attacking. It'd kind of cheapen the victory if someone else contributed to what I solely set out to do.

So anyway, I've indulged you in your childish quiz...back to the discussion. It seems your only detractor is that you want it to go back to people only having a leg up if they can camp DR or bully other alliances. There's a difference between competitive and cutthroat, and when there aren't tens of thousands of countries, bots or not, the game can't be cutthroat if you still want to have people playing it.

Hawkeyee made a good point. You could check the tag they're restarting from and if it's bigger than 1, then they get the bonus. If it's just 1 person in the tag, nothin. Suiciders don't usually coordinate, and if by chance they do, every alliance will be able to see a 2-3 country tag and be able to watch them for anything suspicious. It's harder to see it from a random neutral, but if you have an obscure tag showing up, you can keep tabs on them no problem.

Couple things, whether they can be combined or not...

1. Put in an algorithm to count up special attacks...people that are land-killed in the first couple days could start fresh and still have mostly the same turns, since people that start a couple days after the set does still have the turns accrued since the set start. Suiciders that are farmed a bunch and then eventually killed will only get the benefit of the turns people spent trying to kill it, instead of being farmed all set and coming back with close to 100% of what they had.

2. Put in a check for the previous country a player had and now they're restarting. If they were tagged, give the bonus. If not, nothing. This could of course be undermined since an untagged country can simply create their own tag, but it may deter some from getting their bonuses.

TLDR

From what I did read, it seems iscode is trying to prove a point that trading shouldn't happen because they keep low D, allowing people to suicide on them. Teaching them a lesson, or something. The one thing I will say is that it doesn't teach anyone any lesson...suiciders are suiciders, and if they want to ruin your country, they will find a way to do so, whether you have 5k or 5m turrets...so the point of this is not to try to force people to stop land-trading, it's to try to be as big a douche as possible.

Find a better hobby or somewhere else to troll please, we're all working with an evolving game, no need to introduce single-celled organisms again.

Those players who don't want to partake in it there can't call themselves good if they don't get as high. We've been through this before, there are new metas ALL the time in EVERY game, you don't adapt to the meta, you lose your prominency as one of the best..or you do adapt and still kill it because you're the most efficient at using your turns. Anyone can keep saying trading sucks, but results speak for themselves. If you want to be competitive, get with the new program. Things always change, or have you not quite lived life enough yet to know that?

Cowboys on horses can't start saying that someone in a Ferrari sucks at transportation, they're just clinging to their belief that horses are the best way to get from A to B.

Um...more countries with more land and more net *does* equal more competition..no runaway countries since everyone has access to land. Regardless where the land comes from, whether they bump up exploring to 100A per turn and leave it like that all set, people all have an equal chance at getting the same amount of land, or more if you're more clever at it. Because of that fact, the people who will come out ahead of the pack are the ones who know how best to utilize their turns (read: the actual pros). Anyone can just tech/cash all their turns and buy stock, but when to catch the peaks of everything for sale, when to stop grabbing, etc takes the actual skill.
