Not LCN. Players from different, somewhat surprising tags in some cases were a part of this. And yes, Derrick knew and helped plan it. The hits on elders and the plant in Stones was his idea with the intent of getting it to generate an FS on LaF. Wave 2 was the back end of it to close the circle. Again he wanted those targets, not us.
