The 1:kill policy was just our interpretation of no x-retalling.

X-retalling was not accepted.
X-killing was accepted.

So, we considered every incoming hit an act of war, and crosskilled. According to the self-made rules of all others here, it should be ok.
We stopped crossretalling and still you whine :)

We're up for strict team play. In fact, we only fought teams which were doing cross-killing, since we don't see that as teamserver-worthy. All others were perfectly left alone.

And if it's up to me, I'd rather kill all those whiners in this thread over and over again. We were challenged to be fought until giving up 1:kill, so bring it on. Much more fun killing, than caring about a country to netgain. We did that in our past in other alliances ;)

We did this quite often in tournement, enshula. Play 5 vs 5, and it hardly ever came down to killing. Just crippling, hitting the soft spots.
Good fun.

Do tell :)

snawdog: I always said that RD favors a pure team fight. However, when we came on here many condoned cross-killing. In my eyes, it's still the same as cross-retalling. Both break the team borders.
All those get our 1:kill policy. All others who strictly play within team rules could not get touched.

Well, we might have had some cheaters, like every other alliance had. But I've never seen real proof.

Only time I ever saw someone getting busted, was UCN. Apparently you forgot the time Mehul himself posted on the forum about how Fingolfin and PIBM logged into all UCN countries to aid themselves up, and that Fingolfin had several coworkers playing from his ip, all with interesting names like adsdagf

:)

I just helped Mehul trying to save the game. :)

RD never ran any multies. We just had lots of friends.

And me hacking UCN? Nopes.. just had a friend give me admin access there. And well, as an admin I did the only thing I thought was good for UCN.... I deleted a bunch. Saved them more humiliation, after all it was always mediocricy defined. They should be thankful ;)

Had to sell 4 times to get low enough to hit you... props to you.

Your forces return from Sparta (#279) successful!
Your forces broke through the defender's defenses and killed 4 civilians and destroyed 20 bushels.
You lost 1 Troop, but killed nothing.

Boring challenge, have done it several times before. Maybe read Silver's post again before judging our players.

And besides, we already have enough wars planned the coming sets. ;)

After those dorks go back to strict teamplay, meaning no crosskilling, we'll gladly accept the challenge.

W: it's easy, don't hit us and you have no problems at all. We're not here to netgain or win, we do that in other games or alliances. RD has always been a great break from normal play, and will always be. :)

We started 1:kill on alliances who were cross-warring/killing themselves, but not accepting cross-retals. Well, in that case we just kill off the hypocricy. Easy ;)

W, don't whine when your self-made policies backfire at you.
You break all the team-rules with your cross-killing. So you started it.
Since we are not allowed to cross-retal, we just adapt to the self-made rules here. No cross-retalling, but only cross-killing. So every hit is considered an act of war. And they are acts of war, since we hardly ever hit anyone at all without reason.

Take a look at yourself first, before you come complain about RD. I always said that we would play strictly 5 vs 5, if all others do the same. You are not doing it, so don't whine when you get killed.

Hmm, I don't think we've been grabbing any tags this past set. Only Cobalt made a hit I think.
Did anyone tag get grabbed by a RD country? Probably not.
Our policy has always been: don't mess with us, and we don't mess with you. So everyone who has problems with RD now, caused it themselves in some way ;)

Oh, and retals always have been allowed. But like I said, only Cobalt made one hit, because he's an arse ;)

The game is not about one grab. We had more important things to handle back then. But point is that you'll always get the hits back, either immediately, either later in the set, either next sets...
You sure pull off an impressive war performance. Wow. ;)

Lime and Silver were already around in Teal's time. Cobalt joined later.

And RED were landfarms. Remember the lottery we had with you guys? In exchange for some kind of ceasefire, we randomly would pick a countrynumber out of RED and landfarm it. Of course Cobalt always picked KJ :)

RD never had multies. We just had a lot of friends. Don't re-write history :)

Besides, we tried to adapt to the server rules here. Many times did I ask for a justification of crosskilling/crosswarring, while crossretalling is frowned upon. Never got a decent answer on that, other than some self-written rules by some netgainers here who want to protect their position.

Since previous sets clearly everybody was crosswarring, i do not see why we should not adapt to the general style of stepping out of the team boundaries sometimes as well. Besides, I just re-read the gamerules, and still don't see anything which forbids crossretalling.

Maybe we can DNH those who clearly play 5 vs 5 without any interference at all, not even in war.
And otherwise, we just don't give a rat's arse about our countries. We do what we like to do, and just have fun. Kill and get killed, that's the essence of a wargame ;)

ViLSE, Big bully? Hmm, we play here, and try to get it down to basic 5 vs 5 as it was designed for.
However, all the current teams work together in war and crosskill. Also against suiciders it's condoned. Why? Suiciding is a part of the game, not against the rules. You want to eliminate fun parts out of the game by instituting crosskilling against suiciders, thus breaking out of the 5-member-team.

I've been saying all the time that i'm all game for a pure 5 vs 5 teamplay. If everyone agrees on that, then start acting according to it. No crosskilling, nothing.

Also, I've been saying all the time that I'd cheer on such a server and play accordingly to it. However, nobody seems to be willing to follow this.
Therefor I play to the general accepted rules, and crosskill as well, in every act of war.

Come up with a workable solution, instead of creating own rules and whine when they backfire at you.
