Yeah, you guys really did want to work it out when you told me you were planning on hitting us. The only reason you had any intention of coming to any sort of terms is because of SOF/SOL, otherwise you would have no reservations about squashing us.

I'm not angry or upset, it was always going to happen, but don't play that tune, nobodies going to buy it.

Land trading is far better for the game than farming untags, or anyone else for that matter. If their member is okay with it, I don't see the issue.

The guys 50k NW so only tiny guys can make hits before they grow out of range. His whole purpose, as with the other untags suiciders we've had already, is to take away from our start up and waste our turns.

It's a cheap and unoriginal tactic by some people who are either;
A) Childish
B) Retarded
C) Scared
or all of the above.

Zigigy, had I handled the issue differently then yes, the situation would likely have had a significantly altered outcome. My choice of words were poor. At no time later did I realise my 'mistake' and scramble to fix it, rather I was intending on getting our suicider to do so himself from the get go, and merely needed time to contact him and confirm this. By not conveying that to LCN, I fell short in the FA talks and my duty to Rage. But LCN's immediate reaction of sponsoring its own suicider only hours later really does not give them any justification of moral high ground either.

This war will see out our set, and like the server, we'll start again fresh come December 4. Best of luck to all involved.

Yeah it should have been better handled by me. I'm a straight shooter though, so I don't make promises I know I won't keep, I don't commit to anything I don't know all the details and circumstances about, and I don't string people along so I can formulate dodgey plans.

I wasn't saying we wouldn't do anything and I wasn't committing to a course of action before speaking with other leadership and with the suicider myself.

Nearly a day before a change of heart? Bullfluff. And it wasn't a change of heart, it was after being able to contact the suicider and get him to agree to reps and land. Which I got to Trife as quick as I could from my phone, from work. LCN chose to ignore this because they got all affronted because I didn't polish their balls the second they came to me.

Are we to blame for this? Yes.
Is LCN also? Yes.
So get off your fluffing horse you cum guzzling butt munchers.

Declare War should be apart of Challenge. You can challenge an alliance and they can choose to accept anytime there after, but after 1 week if they do not accept (ie. They're ducking any conflict) the Declare War option becomes available. Stops blindsiding but still allows an inevitable conflict. It could also work both ways. You challenge an alliance, and they save turns and finish their prep, which allows them to choose the accept time, and hence their FS instead of yours.

What Vic actually said was he was trying to avoid it, not that he wasn't using it. I've had one or two messages from him via ICQ in the past couple days.

Bug is an Aussie so he's asleep? I'm an Aussie and I can assure you it's been early afternoon when I posted to early evening now. 6:50pm East coast or 3:50pm West Coast as we speak.

Did Pang make an ingame change that EE doesn't operate after 9pm Saturdays for US/Canada? I must have missed that one. Still, if every single leader of your alliance closes up shop then that's an issue for you.

Threats? That sounds like a plural to me. Hyperbole. Exaggeration. And if you see that as anything other than a mild attempt to expediate the process then that's your choice.
