I thought I could pull it off. I should have done that string of attacks and followed with an AB run for good measure. Next time, I just have to be more ruthless if I'm gonna multi-tap.

Only mistake that ruined me was hitting Gogy. He taught me a lesson. The hits that came after that only occurred because I had stopped playing turns. Was not worth it to continue at that point with as many buildings that were destroyed. Otherwise a solid run. Like I told him whats the point of putting in 30 more hours if he can just keep burning my buildings. See you all next set!

Didn't see that he had already attacked twice. In that case you are in the clear imho. When I double tap, I expect any and all consequences of my actions. Doesn't matter when the DT occurred.

I would retal on you (if I was expanding acres). For me if I hit you early for 100 acres you are NOT entitled to hit me for 3k acres 3 weeks later without me retaling. For me, that's just a simple retal in my book. If someone ends up fighting me over it, so be it. Theoretically, allowing a full set retal allows people to go all jet baiting attacks so they can return heavy. You'd be able to stockpile harder since you'd be sacrificing defensive strength. It has its pros and cons but if an all jetter where to hit me now after several weeks of just "waiting" not acceptable in my book. (Unless I double tapped them)

You can tyr tech as well; however, I had to convert to farmer this set since tech prices were no bueno.

Welcome back. I am kind of in the same boat you are Lord. This is my second set back but tyrannies are suffering from a lack of targets. Being a fellow tyranny player, I'm sure you know that sometimes you get the bull sometimes you get the horns. Or something like that.

I don't know who that is. My biggest mistake was that I sat on 100 turns going into today and 300M on hand. He started attacking me just as I got on to play my big run. I would have been wise to have kept myself above him but he looked stationary so I figured I could hold off. Kudos to him for popping me as I had it coming. I still think I'm doing fairly well for my 2nd set back. These are things that need to be practiced so that I don't make the same mistakes in the future. At least this set I earned it. If I can't recover properly to keep ahead of him I know the guy that thought it was fun launching missiles at me last set unprovoked will have a fun day too. XD

PS. I know what he does now, for future reference of course.

I sent 115% unless he bought while I was organizing. It doesn't really matter anyways at this point. I just got trucked and with good reason. I suppose this is what happens when you run out of targets to hit. I can see why tyrannies don't get used much in primary anymore. I'll be running demo from here on in I think. Less reliant on a constant selection of good targets to keep up.

I would disagree. I've been building nothing but oil fields for the past 5 days. It's saving me a ton of money from having to buy off the market when you compare bushel yield to cash versus cost of oil. Now when oil plummets towards the end of the set then it could pose a bit of a role reversal but I think the value of oil currently versus the current prices make building rigs a smart choice until the price of oil begins to show weakness.

Obviously, I'm not destroying anything to do so. Just taking capped land and doing it but this means I'm personally not buying off the market which means that there is more supply to go around.

You have nothing to be sorry about. I stole your cash for a couple reasons. First, was testing %s. Second I realized how effective stealing could be for farmers with significant SPAL which would make a non-GDI dict farmer very appealing for me next set because I think it would be interesting to run. Finally, it was just sitting there. XD

Honestly, I knew it was a mistake before I did it. I was like I probably shouldn't do this but........ Sometimes it's hard to maintain discipline for 60 days; however, I certainly learned a lot about the farming strat in that moment. It has a multitude of benefits that I hadn't really even considered. This is only my second set back in over a decade and my first real attacking mistake so I'll take this one on the chin and keep trucking. Good luck to you.

Aye, at that point it's better to preemptively keep them in the dirt. Only double tap someone you know you can dominate and out netgain. Otherwise you might have blown your set. Picking farming targets can make or break your set so do so after weighing the risk vs the reward. Do you have them beat in SPAL as well helps to. Moreso for any strat except techer. Techers have a MUCH harder time mitigating risk from double taping because if we have to start running spy ops to dispel missles then your losing productivity. Much easier to do it with a farmer, casher, commie who can still earn passively while taking care of potential problems.

Never really played farmer before but necessity dictated it. At what point do you start stocking or should you be pushing growth throughout the set. I guess what I am really asking is where is the balance.

I feel like more than one hit and your kind of being a fluff asking for a legit retal later, but if you get popped you need to just shake these ones off because you asked for it.

I outgrow my early hits as a tyr techer; however, this time I wanted a bit longer before I started banging and it seemed to work out a touch better. I only hit people who have the audacity to run no defense early being cheapskates. I always hit them. If they retal me later saying "retal", I'd for sure pop them again. If I took 100 acres early because you had no defense and you take 3k late then I feel I'm entitled to a retal. Some people might QQ that but you were that one that carried no defense early like this is a game of pattycake.

An old presumption was just brought to my attention, so I'm not sure if this applies in the manner that I thought. When getting attacked with attacks like GS or AB, do your defensive allies factor into that defense?

There are two cashers just now coming up the ranks. These past two days for me have been brutal trying to convert. Just 30 more turns and I can start climbing back up. Don't know if this conversion is gonna work out for me but I think it has more potential than teching does this set.
