Is there an RNG or is it as long as you have > than your opponent's defenses you win? (i.e. 101 jets vs 100 turrets).

Sorry if this is a noobish question, but I haven't played this game since 2005 and I forget the mechanics entirely. I'd like to minimize my casualties by not oversending.

10% is most of times big enuf oversent on landgrab, if you do special attacks then you need 3 times more units than opponent has to keep readiness loss at minimum.

don't forget that some gov'ts get a military effectiveness bonus...Dictatorships, I think.

I haven't played since 2006 myself...does a PS still give you a 50% strength bonus?

yes ps gives 50% bonus and yes if attacks against dictator needs to send 35% more forces than normally.

I find failure rate with 10% send to be negligible.

that's the point, if you want 100% success then you need to do bigger oversends and that'll cost you more units.

Frankly I would not be surprised to learn that an accurately calculated 10% oversend has a 100% success rate.

some have failed when sent 11% oversent so .........
