Are there any bots in alliance? If so, how can you tell which country is a bot?

Also, do bots play a role in the market, e.g. do they sell and buy from the market like normal human accounts do?

They don't tell you here, but you can figure it out by their names, build, news. Bots don't attack, keep ~60 bpt, and no rigs or mbs to name a few things.

Bots do use the market.
