I need to order a DVD/CD Drive for my work desktop. I do not know what I am looking at when I pull the stuff up online. Can someone help me pick one?

Hijacking this..I am also looking to get a budget tower/ computer ...what is my best bet quality/price ?

If no one wants to post one I will just get a amazon best choice, because well, I am not sure what the difference is in usb 2.0 and 3.0. I figure someone on here can just tell me what to get haha

buy from newegg.

usb 3.0 is faster but reqs ubs 3.0 ports on comp to benefit on faster speed and depending usage if that extra speed matters. for future use I'd buy blu-ray drive.

Patience: Yep, I'm with ELK and Marshal.

Gallery: K at least I am to my expectations now.

An easy way to tell if your computer has a USB 3.0 port is to look at it, if you see blue, most likely 3.0.

I dont have a budget at work lol. I got a 30 dollar one. I just needed it to play DVDs and CDs in my training room

It used to be gaming but I have such bad RSI in my shoulders I think I’m done,

Just something fast enough to run my work virtual machines and with a nice video card etc if I want to cast / hook it up to my 4k tv
