So we were analyzing the hits on #20.

Countries seem comparable in land yet only 5 - 6K acres taken in 40 hits.
How the hell does that add up. It means taking half the land by ABs would take 160 - 200 hits?

Are we / am I missing something here?

Well there is a post about how the formulas changed. I guess u didnt take care which countries are doing the ABs as well as you should have.

Depending on if it is intended or unintended everyone will have to figure out how the new formula works for themselves pretty much.

Yeahhhh buddy.

Had dicts getting bigger cash totals off me on GS than the tyrannies presumably because they just had more cash home.

Seems T bonus of 25% is not factored in to the formula cap either, so T is basically 25% less effective and in reality will often never receive the 25% bonus. Whoever had more cash, bushels, tech, troops etc home was doing far more damage than the Tyrannies. Might as well just remove that part of the explanation of T because at this point, unless T can go beyond the cap and recieve its 25%, the govt explanation is a lie.

If you are doing a GS or BR kill run that will only apply to the first hitters and only if you are really small compared to the enemy. I don't think you are GSing for cash mainly but for civs.

No. Old mechanics were like that. Civilian losses are not affected.

It seems definitely to affect the buildings, tech etc. the whole way down. Tyranny bonus has gone from significant to nearly invisible. As breaker T gets basically no bonus unless he is 25% bigger than target.

Basically T is only getting its bonus during midset and beyond farming and midbreaking.

Well for the small numbr wars we have I guess ABs are completely ruled out as of now. It's ridiculous that you need to match buildings. Anti suicding stuff all fine. But stuff like this takes away from war flexibility ALOT.

I completely agree. The Clan GDI should have been the be-all and end-all for griefer protection and given ample protection to whoever wanted it imo. That way it could have left everyone who wanted war to do it unencumbered by changes. But the war folks here cared more about the ability to blindside or suicide netters than they did about warring each others so they argued against that.

Will be quite balanced once the restart bonus is gone imo. Only reason ABs seem weak is because of the existence of that bonus, once you have to FA clan mates to get them back in the fight, you'll need more production. Also eliminates the possibility of ABs being abused by netters to oil destock. On a country without restart bonus, I don't see a problem with 100+ ABs taking out less than half the buildings as it would have taken far more turns to build that land up. OOP AB fs is also weakened, which is a good thing.

Restart bonus gone = kills are stronger
ABs weaker due to this change

I think one of the things qz and pang has stated that they do want is for war to be about more than kills, so this is a step in the wrong direction with what they set out to do.

I'm pretty sure this is a work in progress tho.

Restart bonus isnt the problem. As someone recently pointed out to me something that's exploitable. Stop having bots carrying a fluff ton of cash and it will slow down ur griefers

Teacher bots holding cash is a problem but having a big restart bonus also makes war drag out a tad bit too far as well. I say restart bonus needs adjusted not eliminated and teacher bots need to spend money on food, oil and military.

That has not happened in the last 3 years tho. If it will ever happen I dont know, maybe. But you understand that when a war tag steps out of line you give them what they want and when a netting alliance steps out of line they get what they dont want. Thats incredibly unbalanced.
