One year ago today, alliance server went live and we all were saved from the imminent doom jolt/omac cast upon us by killing our baby, Earth 2025.

Today, we can all be happy that a community which some of us were a part of as long as 15 years ago continues on today thanks to the dedication of QZ-Jul, Pang, Slagpit, and all the Wiki, forum and ingame mods.

In the last year we've finally got to experience this game under proper management and with a large amount of innovation, of which, many were player based suggestions.

And while express did go live two days prior, and beta happened even before that, I value Alliance as the true breadwinner and community staple.

So to everyone that's played a country, contributed an idea, recruited someone new, and especially pang, qz and slag, thanks for extending the longevity of the game we all are hooked on and can't walk away from.

They did a really good job on the game. I never played the jolt ran game, but after I quit earth I tried TEQ and hated it. This game looks and feels just like the old game, which is a good thing.

council server, alliance came later.

we should also give many thanks to gregg, were it not for him bringing down the evil LaEx empire the fate of earth empires would certainly be doomed.

on a serious note the admins have done a great job making this game more enjoyable then its ever been, now if we could only get a ton more players. i wonder if there was some way to do this like maybe a facebook app or something??? :P

it's been a crazy year... but we have the basis for a great strategy game, and I think we've been pretty successful in bringing the style of the classic webgame into the new web2.0 world style.

if we didn't all get crazy jobs outside of the game, we'd have got more done :p

I should also add that on behalf of the staffers, thanks to the community for working with us (most of the time :p) to help make this game successful.

There were numerous options available to Earthers when E2025 shut down, some which were already complete, and it was a leap of faith for many of the remaining alliances to join EE over other competitors.

So thanks for your support and trust and everyone's continuing efforts to help make this game great :)

Yea, thanks guys for your support from the beginning, regardless of what sorts of things we come up with :) It's been a fun year, though increasingly busy for all of us I think =(

I have to say I've really enjoyed the whole experience, I've learned a ton, and gotten to know quite a few more people. And only occasionally have I gone crazy trying to figure out what the heck was going on with the server :)


With regards to facebook and all that jazz, we really *ARE* quite close, and have been for a while, but we've just been trying to polish stuff, and make sure everything works, like this bonus system; unfortunately I've left most of this stuff to pang for the last little while, as I've been busy... but what time I've had lately I've been trying to put into the wiki, also to flesh it out a bit before any n00bs join.


And yea, to reiterate what pang said, thanks for putting your faith in us, so we could move the whole community here rather than fragmenting amongst the various other possibilities. Hopefully we can rebuild and increase the community so we can see another 2500 vs 2500 server war sometime in the distant future ;) those were always fun, even if I do love netting.




If you'd like to contribute more in the coming year, post some on B&S, help with the wiki... and bug all your friends to play yet again! :)

Yeah this game has been developed very well. Server maintence is excellent and I only remember server being down once.

The fact that the developers are fans of the game and understand the mechanics in use is a big plus.

Makes me which earth2025 went out of business ten years ago we had EE instead. It'd probably be a community 50 to 100k right now instead of 1k. You'd be surprised how many people I meet in real life that have heard of earth 2025 or Utopia.

Actually i have met quite a few random people who have heard of Earth.

In all honesty we really are a well known community based strictly off the community and its involvement and i think thats the main thing that has kept us all going over the years
