What the hell does that actually mean anyway?
Basically means that when someone gives you something, such as a gift, you're not supposed to check the gift for defects and stuff. Apparently, back when people didn't know how to drive faster than 30 MPH with vehicles with more than 1 horsepower, people would often give away their horses that had mouth disease or something.
In this case, I guess Fooglmog's trying to say that when an alliance extends the courtesy of a DNH to you, it's not wise to abuse that courtesy by having members grab said alliance. Or something.
