Why is it that we use alliance:country retals?

What's wrong with using alliance:alliance, country:country, or country:alliance retals instead?

Paradigm retal policy has separate clauses for alliance:country and country:country retals where country:country is favorable for the retaller and alliance:country is favorable for the grabber.

I think Country:Country can be abused.. if a country with significantly less land gets some aid from thier alliance to make a hit that will only net em profit due to land size.. if that is still the way things work.. I don't LG unless I'm retaling... then the person retaling stands to lose land..

I think Most use country:alliance as a retal method if the country can't take the retal(s), to get as much land as they can get... alliance:alliance is silly... and probly a cause for many a war.

alliance:alliance would be great. causing a shift in strategy, without changing formula. im down for any change from the way things have been.

We do alliance:country because IX fought to bring it in when the whole server was country:country.

No one has succeeded in their fights to bring back country:country since.

No one has tried to bring in country:alliance or alliance:alliance.

To bring in something new, a major alliance has to want to fight for it and then gain an advantage from it if they win. This makes have allianced adopt it in order to remain competitive.

If an alliance isn't willing to fight, it doesn't happen. If it doesn't provide a real advantage, it doesn't spread.

I disagree. Very little bloodshed has occurred over the return of 1:1 to prominence.

country:country L:L basically means everyone can run all-jetter without fear
country:alliance or alliance:alliance would greatly discourage landgrabbing, which is bad mkay

country:country only makes sense if we put back the 3rd d allies like the old days.

2 d allies and 3 o allies doesn't cut it when you are going C:C because you can always get retaled successfully, leading to abuse

A jetter grabbing a defense heavy guy is easily retalled but has to spend a ton in oil costs to grab. A jetter is also more susceptible to reprisal from people who he may severely aggravate.
