Hi all,

We're finally done phase 1 of the new bonus system: Daily Bonuses!

We've created two bonuses for you to take advantage of - voting for Earth Empires on Directory of Games and Browser Game List. Each time you vote for Earth Empires, we will give you a 2-turn bonus, applied to each of your live countries across all servers! You can only get credit for voting once every 24 hours per bonus, so right now you can receive up to 4 turns extra per day. We will be attaching turns, cash, land and other ingame things to future bonuses as well to expand the types of things you can gain by helping EE out!

To get these bonuses, click the "Bonus" tab on the header in-game or when you're logged into the portal.

Please report any problems with this system on the bugs and suggestions board

You can't roll over and lose all of your cash anymore. If you had 2B on a server with the 2B limit you simply wouldn't receive any cash.

Pang deserves all of the credit for this feature (I think). Thanks Pang!

yes, so if you have 1 alliance country, 1 primary country and 16 FFA countries, for each vote you make, you'll be given 2 turns for each of those countries.

Also, as Slagpit said, we don't have bugs like that in our game... we try to keep our coding standards in line with at least that of 1995, so we should be good to go :p

I've been talking with Tavi about getting some graphics done for these places (banner)

When he's done, these pages will be awesome!!

If some other folks want to help, we can get a few screenshots going.... if people can get good screenshots, we could definitely upload some of them to voting sites like this.

I'm still wanting to do a little more work on the template and such before we start posting images of us all over the web though :)

What would be a neat strategical thing to do is make multiple bonuses that give you different things, and then make people only able to choose like 2 of them per day.

Cool beans, looks like if you are in a country in ffa, click the bonus link, it takes you back to the ffa console, and not the bonus page ;)

no, diez. the game needs to grow.. and if everyone has equal chance of getting these bonus turns, it should have an equal effect.

getting us a higher rank on these sites has possibility of increasing our page rank and also getting more people playing this game.

and, like he said.. some of the bonuses will be land based or cash based, etc.

would be nice to get a free chem at random or something! :P

I like it... but would it be possible to get click through links to the listings even during the 24 hours between votes? You know, so I can click and check on the ranking of EE if I want to...?

Also, I think a really cool bonus would be something like 3% increase in either TPT, Industrial Production, Cash, Food or Oil which is assigned at random when you vote and lasts 30 turns.

Or better yet, a rare +5 BPT which lasts 30 turns... better scramble to get acres and use it :)

The 2B bug is the same as it was with mehul atm MM; it's just capped at $2B; the 2B bug is still in place, as it is capped...

We have removed the 2B bug from FFA and Express btw MM; just not the rest yet; it's currently considered a "feature"

Hopefully we'll remove it completely in the near future.....

I like it, but we need some sort of in game news to go with. I mean, if you are logged in to your country and go vote you can see that your turns go up. However, if you are logged into the site but not your country and go vote you have no way of knowing for sure that you are actually getting the extra turns, not that I'm seeing at least.

hm, jdpanther we WILL be handing out patron stuff soon enough, but we still don't have a system for that in place ;) Your donation is appreciated, and all the patron stuff will be applied retroactively... but we kindof want to get the forums & game linked for that to happen

hehe sorry, we really should send emails back, but we have one account checked by multiple people which somewhat confuses things; and support emails/irc/icq stuff always gets priority =/

So, thank you all for your donations ;) we really do appreciate them, and if we haven't gotten back to you (most people haven't received a response i think unfortunately), rest assured we do appreciate it and will get accounts set up properly once we have the infrastructure set up for it a little better.
