the main irc server is scheduled to be offline between the hours of 5am and 6pm game time on the 20th January 2013. Its being physically moved from california to las vegas.

I have setup a mirror and changed the dns records for irc.earthempires.com to forward there. as of now, its up and running and has 20 or so users on seamlessly.

If there are any difficulties accessing irc.earthempires.com during the downtime, please try connecting directly to the ip (64.31.25.105) instead of irc.earthempires.com

the same server that is going offline also hosts ee's images, but i have already managed to switch that to an unaffected server.

Anyway, seems maybe the dns record might not be updated properly in time for all users tomorrow. but the irc2.earthempires.com server will be unaffected if you prefer using a url instead of the IP address.
