Roughly 6AM - 8AM UTC (Game Time) on the 26th of July, the server that hosts both IRC and all of EE's images will be offline while it is physically moved from Fremont California to San Jose California. Please note that this is actually 11pm on the 25th of July on the west coast of USA.

This should not effect gameplay in any way, and some users online may not notice any difference in images as they should be cached by your browser.

If you need to use IRC, please use irc2.earthempires.com while the main IRC server is down. News and Services(NickServ, ChanServ, etc) will not be effected at all.

Although this will happen in near off-peak time for EE, we do apologise to the few users will actually be effected.

Thanks for you patience and understanding. If any of this information changes, we'll let you know ASAP.

yep, they've had epic issues with the one node which happens to house our server. no current ETA on when it will be fixed. i'm sure they wont go a full day offline.
