There's going to be some maintenance on the electrical stuff where the server is located for about 8 hours on Wednesday, so I'll be temporarily relocating the server for a few days. The move will cause about 30 minutes of downtime tomorrow, and an additional 30 minutes again on the 25th or 26th, depending on when I move it back. We're moving the server to avoid extended downtime because the UPS isn't big enough to run the server through an 8 hour power outage.

That was the reboot test... it forced a disk check on a 2 TB HD... took forever...

it takes long even on partition which is 150ish Gigs so nothing new.

There we go, server is now 20km from where it was before :) and all seems good

i didn't notice any difference on page load on logging.

it has been going crazy slow during KR's but at least it is up like mr ford said :)

Yea it's a slightly slower connection, I've had it here before but I didn't think it was really noticeable at the time; might be something to do with the connection being used a little more at xmas; but yea I'll move it back probably on boxing day, though maybe xmas day, I'm not sure what my schedule is going to be like there.

Sorry about the slightly extended downtime this time, it forced a check of one of the partitions again; even though I went through them all to disable that, apparently what I did didn't work.

last time i did, was just gonna get bonus poiunts and ............, unpleasant 1.5 hrs wait.
