I think this is a change that NEEDS to happen. All records of player's countries should be made public. People need to be held accountable for their actions and stop hiding. Too many bullies are ruining the game for players, especially in servers like FFA and Express where people are killed without provocation.

NO

not because they are bullies, but because we have seen what Grudges can do in this game... you want revenge, try to use taunts, etc to reveal the owner of the countries that fluffed you :p

And how exactly does that work for newer players who don't know anyone? No, I think it would be more beneficial change the tone of things by everyone being able to know who everyone else is. You'll think twice before bullying someone if you're going to publicly label yourself a bully. If anyone has a problem with other's knowing what countries they're playing, then I think they've got something to hide.

Whats the matter? got something to hide?

i agree that all previous resets, the countries should be open to the public.

the current reset should still be hidden

Alliances can be held accountable for their actions. Individual players being allowed to hide their identity keeps them from being held accountable for their actions.

Its already bad enough that people can treat their countries like throw-aways. Losing one's country is obviously not sufficient deterrence to keep people from suiciding. Knowing that you would be revealed at the end of the set, and that your reputation, and your ability to get accepted into alliances could be damaged, would give a slightly bigger deterrence to suiciding.

If we don't reveal player's countries as public info, then we need to do something in order to create a greater deterrence towards anonymous suiciding.

But sometimes you go and suicide the very same bullies that hit you to oblivion... them knowing who you are will just make it worse.

Remember some players don't play this game to be in a team, they don't play to get a nice rank, they play to fluff you over and have fun at it.

Who decides who is the bully and who isn't?

Is hitting a player 5 times being a bully?
Is retaling those 5 hits with 30 missiles?

Also this will create A LOT of cross server issues... we stand to lose more with this suggestion that what we will win, you want your silly all x countries with low defense or no tanks get a free pass because you can see anyone that decided to mess with your poorly defended piece of fluff country? No, any player has the Right to AB you for no other reason that you being a fluff and having 0 tanks, with that said I leave, because I have to work in 4 hours... zzzzzzzzzzzz

Chaoswind - I'm not saying that suiciding should be prevented or deterred, but that anonymous suiciding should be prevented or deterred. There's a HUGE difference.

I don't see a problem with having our information hidden in ANY server, besides FFA.

In express you can be a fluff, but that is only 1 country, if you decided to AB country #5 because it had no tanks, then that is your choice, country #5 will likely get in touch with you in a matter of hours, and for that set you will get what you want, and that player will learn to not be a dumbass and have some tanks.

In tourney you won't get to Game A, and uber GDI pretty much killed random suiciding.

In Primary is pretty much the same as, express, but at a MUCH slower pace.

Team, his teams will fluff you, but the Team server is like a pretty tiny FFA server, clans have "policies" and deal with each other accordingly.

Alliance... sometimes suiciding is the only way to get revenge at a clan, but honestly you are much more likely to get farmed to oblivion, than suiciding anyone.

FFA is the real issue, because you can play 12 countries and have 4 Suiciders, you FA those suiciders and go and try to ruin other people sets, while getting a great finish yourself, I believe something like this happened last set in FFA, so yeah, I would say FFA needs public countries, the other servers really don't.
