I had turrets sell to a standing order on express before they hit the market... 700k + en route, 110k sold before they reached the market

yeah i had that happen earlier, but it was only 1 turret. and everything else hit the market after about 15 sec of "wtf"

That's how Standing Orders work. The Boxcar market news feed clearly shows SOs buying food 1 min before the remainder hit the market as well (if the food batch clears all the SOs at that price).

Remember how SOs take "a while" to activate? I think the server periodically checks (every minute) for SOs to satisfy first, then releases the remainder to the public market a minute later.

Just my observations.

Mhmm; this was part of the design; the idea behind SO's was to give them "first dibs"; that way they are unquestionably better than market camping or writing a market-camping script...
