I don't really know the exact circumstances, as this bug was mentioned in IRC, but apparently a player died, and when he logged in, a standing order from his last country was filled.

Yeah when a country dies if they have goods on the market they will sell and the money will go to the dead country. I think that is how the game is designed so not necessarily a bug but maybe a change request is needed!

No, his new country was buying existing SO's from the old one.

But, I don't think its a good idea for dead countries to receive money from a dead SO.. their country DIED therefore all assets should die with it.

dead countries still have military, tech, oil and prolly money and/or bushels. if deads were deleted then no assets.
