At least in ffa, a lot of my ally slots get filled in a time of war and it would be convenient if they dropped when a given country dies.
Can't think of any downside or way to exploit this, is it a reasonable suggestion?

true but then you can give your restarts intel allies as basically a leech (this is from my ffa perspective, not sure if its worth the turns in 1a to kill a restart but i've had 59 deaths this set so a lot of alliances have had to be canceled)

Good call. Also, you shouldn't be able to FA dead countries.. Where does the money go?!

you don't get benefits from dead allies so having an intel alliance with a dead country wouldn't help you.

[10:02] <aponic> pang: dont you get to use a dead intel ally?
[10:02] <Pang1> yup
[10:02] <Pang1> if they are a res ally, they will also leech tech!
[10:02] <Pang1> i added a check that stops you from being able to send aid to a dead country
[10:03] <Pang1> or at least it prompts you
[10:04] <Pang1> and says "Your caravan arives at [country] (#num) and finds it destroyed! Do you want your caravan to dump its contents into the smoking crater?"

What would more appropriately solve this problem in FFA is a "Drop all dead allies" button.

Since Pang specifically answered the question and Slagpit could have been saying 'No.' to any number of comments, I am going to lean toward Pang on this one. It is also the way it was in e2025.
