Right now, DR wears off exactly 24 hours in a complete jump, for the DR from a hit going from full to gone completely. That is unrealistic. The DR from an attack should wear off gradually over a 48 hour period, rather than being quantized into a binary yes/no for each attack.

It is unrealistic that a country could be in 7 hit DR at 1pm, and then at 1:10pm it is in 0 hit DR. That just doesn't make sense.

There's too much of a reward for camping untaggeds and competing with other players to hit them the minute they leave DR.

This would also severely weaken the strategy of GSing a country into DR, as it would need to be done repeatedly rather than just once a day.

adding some randomness in when DR wears off (24h +-4h or so) could solve the "problem" of camping untaggeds as well and should be easier to implement, it wouldnt have any impact on the GSing though

The country you have invaded has become battle hardened from the large number of attacks they have recently suffered. Your military had higher losses and was unable to capture as much land.


I'd say if you're doing half-life, perhaps 18 hours would be better. Or some gaussian with 24 hours being near the 3 sigma regime. I also think that slightly higher losses for LGing someone in high DR would be good as well (to help combat bottom-feeding as well as for the realism).

You guys have to realize that with the current system of DRs just implementing a straight taper/exponential decay system doesn't work. It becomes more complicated. I hope to have time to post a good idea soon.
