After a countries dies I don't think it's goods should stay for sale. I makes more sense if those goods disapeared from the market.

I think they probably would actually...

I hear what you're saying, but from a complexity POV, it's much easier to do it this way; I'll look into it and see if it's reasonable...

Heh, yeah...make it so that if a country places an order, and it dies before that order being fulfilled, the country that sells to that order get a message, something like "You sold 230,000 turrets via standing order! Unfortunately, because the owner of the order is now dead, the check they wrote to you bounced in your local bank, causing a cash loss of $23,485,234 (or whatever price + market commission)! Also, all items in the affected transaction have been repossessed by the Global Defense Initiative Defense Fund!"

I am a troll. Everything I say must be assumed to be said solely to provoke an exaggerated reaction to the current topic. I fully intend to bring absolutely no substance to any discussion, ongoing or otherwise. Conversing with me is pointless.

if die do recalltech and recallgoods and cancelorders

not sure if you can do housekeeping on a death event though you and i kind of like the goods staying on the market, just not so sure about the orders

since the sell orders help to stabilise the market a bit while the deorders could destabilise it a bit (if high, if low could actually help a bit)

say you had a demo reseller killed while offline while it had orders to buy oil for perhaps 60 when oil was for sale at about 100 earlyish set

oil may go up to about 250ish and an order for 2b cash worth of oil could be sitting there for a month until oil crashes, just eating the odd little chunk of oil (could be for an insane amount of cash in a server without a 2b limit)

whearas if a player was still controlling the country eventually they would cancel the order or use more of the money for something else

i just dont like the idea of potentially outdated orders that no ones able to change sitting around a bit like timebombs

of course i dont know at what point dead countries are purged, on earth it was 24 hours at one point but also about 2 weeks at another point

the impression i get is you leave dead countries in the system for the whole set her but remove them from score list and alive clan list at the next 5 minute update

perhaps once a new country is created with the old number the orders would disapear

recall goods on sale at dead could cause public market prices to rise (especially bushels) and that would benefit other sellers (and tech-stealersd from dead countries) and hurt buyers.
