Yep. But having no turrets is a pretty bad idea too. Up to each player to balance how much defenses he wants.

Just in case you think it's a bug, 133tz, I just want to add an addendum that goods on the market still costs you cash upkeep to spend turns, although there is no food upkeep for such goods on the market. This particular Commie in question has jets on the market.

That is,
989621/4302372 = $0.230018 upkeep per jet
1908451/9258910 = $0.20612 upkeep per turret

Jet upkeep is more expensive when it is supposed to be cheaper ==> There are jets on the market.

It affects food upkeep. It does not affect cash expenses. What Xin said is correct and how it's always been.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. It just means that I can deduce/calculate out how many jets are on the market if I assume that there are 0 turrets on the market for this player, because jet upkeep : turret upkeep is fixed ratio without doing a market spy.
