Since the in-game news history does not necessarily list all of the countries that one has attacked/been attacked by over the set and GDI coverage is invalidated upon the 2nd attack and/or harmful spy op, I would like to request a confirmation dialog when one is about to perform a spy op or attack that would invalidate GDI protection. I.e. on the second harmful spy op, you would get a confirmation screen that says "Performing this spy operation will allow your opponent to use special attacks and destructive spy ops against you. Continue? (Y/N)"

I would also like to see the same feature for the first attack/acquisitional spy op made if a country has not joined GDI.

A number of experienced players, including myself, have been burned by forgetting to join GDI before the first attack or accidentally attacking a country twice in one set because it had cleared off the news feed. This feature would make the game more friendly to all players but especially new players who might not be informed about the mechanics of GDI or how to join it.

Yes, eestats is useful to watch against voiding GDI protection as long as it doesn't go down which screwed me over once since I didn't remember hitting a particular country that really likes to chem people and hit him a second time. Players shouldn't have to rely on an outside resource for this kind of important information, especially new players. This would also educate new players about GDI.

If that little advisor guy could provide any useful information, this would be very high on my list. Also up there would be similar prompts when you are about to play turns that would make you run out of food and/or money. Real advisors would stop and warn the leader of a country if he were about to do something that stupid and he would have to proceed against their advice.

eestats does not properly count express DR

i felt in fairness i should let everyone know that
i will get some arguments but this is my one post on the topic

i used to believe their count but qz's post a couple of weeks ago convinced me otherwise, and experience has confirmed it

if you choose to believe eestats, you are making a mistake

you know, back in the day, people used to use little sticks with lead in them to write things down. was a very effective method for recording things, but it did take some skill to get it right.

Dan isnt talking about DR lincoln,

i personally dont think you should get a warning,
Dibs is right, do it the old fashion way, write down the targets you hit, hell even use notepad on the computer

making mistakes is part of the game, learning to keep ur mistakes to a minimum is what its all about

in regards to DR, lincoln, what evidence do you have to say that it calculates wrong?
