If a country joins a tag, then the ingame news shows all the hits to or from that country previous to the tagup time as if the country has always been in the tag.

so, you're saying if i join 4 different tags, all my news will appear to be from the most recent?

have checked our code to double check this and it looks about 100perc that it checks for tag at the time of the attack, not what current tag is.

I dont know if it goes that far, but I have a member in Alliance who hit an untagged country. That country later tagged with a clan and in the news search it shows the clan tag next to the attacks, but the country was untagged at the time.

i'm assuming you mean from news search (ingame) if you have some evidence that this isn't working, please let me know via forum pm or email.

Just do a news search on #1 in alliance ingame and on eestats and you will see what i mean

The example of country #1 in this case was in the team server. All of the irc news and websites will display the correct news, only ingame is it incorrect.

I have not tested it for multiple clan changes but I expect only the current tag would be taken into account.

yea, i looked at it again whilst *awake* and its more obvious why it isn't working.
