Or put it somewhere that could catch attention to players who don't bother checking the forums and only play solo servers.

because its static html code thats why. but if it was linked to the blog as to show a preview before clicking on it to go to the blog site, then it would make sense for it. then again, the blog isnt updated anymore either.

i think it may actually be linked to the blog; but it's annoying to update the blog and announcements; some unified forum/blog would be ideal.......
