the networth ratio at the time of the grab is important. the closer the networths are, the higher percentage of land you will take

Also please don't post information that would require a turn to get; posting a normal "search" or nw/land is fine

So being his NW was lower while his land was higher means I get crud for returns??
Yet I guess most of the reverse was true so he gets a huge bonus??
Bleh I think that has to be worked on or it is not going to be worth it to be grabbing between clans

i can only assume that by making the LG you increased your NW significantly, bringing it closer to his, plus you lowered his networth, further closing the nw ratio towards 1:1

So something seems really out of whack

How is that out of whack? You were 4m+ larger than him, so your gains were less than when he hit and you were only .5m different. The closer the two networths, the greater the gains.

SO for the that 4 mill in NW ,almost all in jets I not only lose the land I took but all the ghost acres??
How does that make any sense to you??
How do you grab anyone all Defense and with 2 allies without offensive NW??

PS is basically equal to two defence allies

so if hes 100% d you could grab him with 100% o and same countries

the distorting factor is actually o allies if you use them which means two 'balanced countries' ie if one is all d the other is all o, and half and half for both and so on

then you can easily grab people your size or bigger

the whole point of being all defence is to make it less attractive for you to grab him and it was your choice to drop networth while a retal was owing, though he could maybe have just bought more

the problem if you like was your initial grab targeting someone too smaller who you probably knew could retal you (or his tag could) for too small gains and differance in land between his and yours

the concept of topfeeding/landtrading revolves around benefiting after you get hit back so you need to be very conscious of that and it basically forces you to have a less good country to do it, or at least lower land than your targets

We need to loosen up langrabing or this game is going to grind to a halt.
There always going to be those that play from the dirty tricks dept. but the rest of us are mostly going to be forced all-X.
To me that is going to be the final nail in the coffin for this game.
