All i was saying was that if the guy has 10m turrets:
10m * .7 readiness = 7m def . and 7m * .1 = a pang factor of 700,000.
10m * .2 readiness = 2m def. and 2m * .1 = a pang factor of only 200k.
likewise if the person had defense allies with 40m turrets, you'll get 7m defense added when ally doubles his defense in the first case, and only 2m defense added when the ally doubles d in the second.
so, if your target had 70% readiness and you only accounted for 20%, not only did he have more defense than you counted on, but it's possible the pang factor was larger than you calculated and the def ally help was as well.
