Public market prices are more favorable for Troops. If you were going to purchase those goods on the private market, considering buying from the public market instead.
Got this on the private market when the public market for troops was bought out in alliance. I think it's technically true because the public market price is $0 due to the buyout, but de facto false. Not a huge deal though, just thought i'd give a heads up...
