I don't think that 5 days is enough to tag up, establish pacts, and so on? The round would be over before alliances were fully established?

During the 2 day off days between sets (is it 2 days? i dont remember), you would have to set up a pre set system to allow tagging, and pacting. Be allowed to set your ducks in a row that dont affect NW before turns are flowing. I kinda wondered why you were never able to login to your country in a frozen preset state to set up options like tax, production, pacts and tagging etc.

We could make it a month. I just believe that with more turns it would be an interesting twist to it. The war server you are working on will be fun; however, this is not the same thing. This would allow smaller tags to kill easier as well as have a political aspect to it.

I think a month (at the same turn rate) might be a bit long at just under 11k turns!

Current round is 5 days, wed through Sunday: 180+5*360 = 1980 turns

If you run wed through to the Sunday after that would be 12 days: = 4500 turns

That would be about the same length as alliance and make for that wed though Sunday vibe of express, but with some extras days in the middle.

(FWIW: I think you'd need an extra week downtime between sets to avoid burnout e.g 9 days)

MOST importantly, it should have co-op style SS losses. Which should definitely be in express right now imo.
