I personally would actually like to see the removal of the option on Special attacks to speed hit in a KR. I sort of miss having to be more intertactive in my country instead of just clicking a button over and over again and yes I know there was always ways around it...Good old backspace enter.

But what I would really like to see is kills taking abit more time like they used to back in 2025. Give people more of a chance to log on and stonewall (god how I had a love/hate relationship when recieving those you are getting hit calls)or fa chains to try and make people wonder if someone logged on. As it is now, it seems a almost a norm to be able to kill a country in under a minute. Or dealing with a stonewaller, waiting to try and plan a rush or leave him be.
Basically what im saying is, I don't remember the fun of kills maybe beyond the first 1 I ever had back 11/12 years ago, but I do remember the stress and rush you got every time to managed to help block a KR or trying to deal with a stonewaller.

I feel like people wall more successfully now than ever. The button is needed, without it it feels like noone would ever get a kill :P

Besides, removing it wouldn't really change much for anyone aware of the F5 button...

ya, this needs to be changed but there are a few problems
1) the change would be such that it would be difficult to roll into a changeset, thus, roll it out across servers round to round. this means that we'd apply it everywhere at once, which gets into situations where people will say "you turned it on 5 minutes after the enemy's FS ended -- bias!"
2) the change is actually VERY complex because of the nature of the requests -- it's a big change in userflow

it's on our radar and has been since the first time we tested it on a test server and I killed a country by myself as a demo (no readiness loss! :p) in like 7 seconds

on something different, I've been thinking about ways to create "active defense" for stonewalling -- like being able to use your jets to provide air support for your defenders, assuming you are online to scramble them. if you're not online, your just stay grounded. that's a pretty big change though so it needs to be vetted + balanced before we can even begin discussing it :-/

There was a nice discussion on readiness loss as a function of time between hits. That way you can rush kill if you need to, but otherwise it is more efficient to wait a few seconds between hits. Don't remember which of the many threads it was posted to, though.

ya, me and qz were discussing that a few times as well around the same time

and I think Timo has some thoughts too :p

we'll have to find that -- that would actually likely be easier to code than actually throttling hits
