The careful attacker has to add 10% extra to all attacks more or less, or else risk failing. So it's like a 10% defensive bonus, basically. I like to be able to make firm calculations in this game... What does the random factor add to it? Is an extra defensive bonus the point? Iunno.

would it not be silly for 100 jets vs 100 turrets to fail, and 101 jets vs 100 turrets to win?

I think that sounds silly...

Attacks are always somewhat variable IRL, why shouldn't they be in game?

and you only have to add 10% if you want to be sure you win; you could send 5% less and break some of the time too

There is realism added which I think is great. There are known reasonable bounds to near-guaranteed success so I think there is nothing wrong with the mechanics.

It might be silly but I'd like it more. I like certainty. :P And that's why now I always send 10% over.

Wasn't sure if this would be a popular suggestion but just wanted to throw it out there.

He could just make it so it takes 110 jets to break 100 turrets. Would you prefer that?
