I noticed some weird things last set for alliance grabbing as well. Early on I was getting 0 building returns on literally every landgrab even if they were out of DR. Is there a different formula for alliance?

Nope, no changes that I'm aware of.

Then there must be some sort of bug in alliance land grabs. With grabs earlier (against bots that haven't been hit all set), I was getting between 0-5 buildings and destroying 40-60. Meanwhile on FFA my grabs are more like this..

Wish I could remember. I can say there has been a bigger NW differential between my FFA countries and bots than alliance. I'll write down the hits/buildings lost tomorrow if it continues happening and post them here with NW differences.




Could be, though I usually start hitting very early on FFA and have never noticed it. That said, it did eventually clear up after about 2-3 weeks last set on alliance so this theory definitely makes sense but would still require FFA and Alliance to have different grabbing formulas.

i bet you are just happen to be sending more units as the set goes on, so you are getting more ghost acres.

something does/did affect ss/ps returns early atleast on team, something about gdi and dec of war to be able to hit.

For comparison, FFA hits.... (note, I used the exact same amount of units to hit both alliance and FFA targets, and I know FFA is a few days ahead of alliance but these building gains on FFA are reflective of gains I've been getting all set, in other words, there was never a point where I was gaining less than 5 buildings). Despite the fact that I nw matched on alliance, my buildings gained were a lot worse than bottom feeding on FFA.

Ghost acres work differently on FFA and alliance. You always get max ghosts on FFA, not on alliance.

This is all in announcements...

Buildings are very much affected by ghost acres, yes.

If you look at your hits there is a similar(not equal) difference in ghost acres as there is in buildings captured. That is not a coincidence.

That seems strange, I wonder why it was made that way. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I know its not like FFA where you can send 1 jet and if it breaks you get all those warm fuzzy ghosties.

That would involve me doing spy ops. I believe in a bot's right to privacy.
