his point that espionage does serve as an adequate deterrent against building a tiny base

someone can take tech from him until DR kicks in and he does not even feel it

that is because the formula for stealing tech is not high enough

he squeals like a stuck pig when you touch his money but cares nothing about espionage

the appropriate % is 6 not .5 or .2

gregg taking 6% of someones tech each op is WAY too high of a rate.

if they have 100K agri (example) on hand youd be taking 6k on the first one, 5600 the second etc. by the time you did 20 sucessful ops youe stolen half their tech. thats a bit much

i can see that
the current formula is way too weak
and needs to be strengthened

i would much rather see a change in the other 2 ops to gain rather then destroy before tech stealing rates go up.

i think the current espionage rate is set for a long set like primary

i havent played that in a while but in the last week at primary if you are teched to the max you can take a lot of tech per turn

my personal record is 11k per op although usually i am thrilled with 7k in the final weeks

but at express it is unusual to go over 2k
and now that bomb banks can return $4M an op espionage is dead as a late stage strat

The issue with technology is that it tends to be a long term investment and can't be easily sold or hidden on the market. A country can easily protect cash, bushels, and oil in most cases (which makes some of this complaining amusing). However, technology cannot be protected.

you should put an option for a bank and in order to put money in the bank to protect it it takes like 3 turns and a percentage of money like the market.

As far as Tech Gain, its based off your total Tech as well. If you have 100k tech total and your stealing from someone with 700k tech, you aren't gonna get a lot.

That being said, you still make money by using the ops(if your not a techer), as you still produce cash/food/units.

The question is, Will you make money over the course of the entire set, if you produce say, 750k spies. Spies cost a lot in maintance, and can't be sold(EDIT: For Profit ). There also about half the networth you would get for producing Jets/Turrets per turn.

Stop crying because you got called out IHSFT. I get suicided on more often than not, but I only make topics about it whenever it's really dirty (like you suiciding on people so your friend could win).

Btw, where is your country this set? I remember you saying that you weren't afraid of me, yet you didn't use your traditional country name. Looks like we have another no talent suicider too afraid to face the consequences!
