Although it is silly to offer a pact blindly, I would say no.

It doesn't take much for that little defense and 0 spy country to store turns and pound you for being an ass.

Pact times aren't as long as before... you could still get manhandled.

I would do it to the guy just as a favor. If you're running ZERO def, you honestly deserve to get farmed stupid for it.

This is always what I thought. For example, there was that LaF division who ran all jetters just to do retals. I didn't think there was anything wrong with sending a 2 Jet planned strike against one of them to collect a huge amount of land, for no cost, effectively.

In fact, back in the days when you had to landkill countries, that helped me survive a war. :) It was Don Blubb's country that paid the price though. LOL I remember, it was very funny. He cam back and retaled me without checking the news and I was so far into DR's that he got 20 acres back out of 2K acres. LOL Then, he nuked me a couple of times. That didn't bother me much either. I was still just happy to be able to survive that last gasp kill run by our enemy. :)

I believe that Don Blubb learned to check the news before launching any attacks after that. :)

i always send defense pacts to random people on my score page... usually only if they are in gdi though... and try to avoid commies and dicts... cause they are the most likely to use it as a free spy op and grab you :P

I wouldn't even think about it... a fellow human being offers you a pact which shows that he trusts you not to abuse his openness. So I wouldn't even think to breach someones trust by grabbing him.

But I'm a peaceloving hippie so such an answer is to be expected from me. :-)

I resent the inference that a dictatorship would automatically be suspected of this. Dictatorships don't need a "free" spy op, they can usually get their intel just fine, with their spy bonus.
