I've only played a couple sets after a long time away. During my destock last set I thought that the sell price for food was higher than it used to be, but I was trying to play 360 turns in 4 minutes so I didn't stop to look. Does it still start at $29 and go up based on the $ of mil tech you have. For example 29/.82 = $35, or 29/.81 = $36?

Edit: I found the answer. $32 is the base price so I guess $39 is highest it will go with max milltech

Just for clarification, $39 is max for demo at 83.11% military tech, $38 is max for non-demo at 85.33% military tech.
